Almondco has undergone major growth phase over the past seven years. The company’s volumes have grown from less than 5000 tonnes in 2007 to more than 22,000 tonnes in 2016. During this time the company’s turnover has grown from less than $40 million to more than $260 million. We have played a key role in helping establish Australia as the second largest supplier of almonds in the world.

It is projected that Almondco could be processing more than 30,000 tonnes by 2022.

What started out as a boutique industry has morphed into a horticultural powerhouse generating return that almost exceeded $1 billion in 2015-16.

Less than 25 years ago the industry produced less than 5000 tonnes. Today that volume is predicted to exceed more than 100,000 tonnes within five years.

This growth has brought a wide range of new growers to the company. Providing real time reporting and regular updates on market conditions, varietal research and development and new growing techniques has become commonplace within a information-hungry grower community.

Almondco remains committed to maximising returns to growers and continues to invest in personnel and technology to ensure a handsome record as a market leader continues.
